Mosko Alkalai (10 March 1931 – 1 April 2008) was an Israeli stage and film actor, a Jew born in Romania. He was best known for a string of hits including ''Blaumilch Canal'', ''The Fox in the Chicken Coop'' and ''Yana's Friends''. ==Career== Alkalai's career in acting started relatively late, though his career in film and theater roles spanned 40 years. He appeared in dozens of Israeli films and theater productions.〔 Alkalai was extremely active in professional organizations within the Israeli entertainment industry. He served as the chairman of the Israeli Union of Performing Arts.〔 and was also a member of the Israeli Film Academy and the Israeli Arts Council.〔 Alkalai was the 2003 winner of the Israeli Film Academy's lifetime Achievement Award.〔
